Welcome to the Photography and Fine Arts Contest
Show your talents by putting them on display at the Madison County Fair. There are multiple divisions for every skill level, both in the Fine Arts and in Photography.
For those wishing to enter this year's Photography and Fine Arts contest, there are some simple rules:

- All artwork and photographs must be ready to be hung in the exhibit. There will not be supplies at the fair to mat, mount, or any other techniques for an entry. The artist's name and phone number must not be on the front of the piece of art or photograph. Please place this information on the back.
- All art and photography must be your own original work. Winners may not enter the same piece more than once.
- Entries will be accepted on Wednesday, August 15th, from noon to 6 p.m. Late entries will be disqualified from judging. They may still be left for display.
- All artwork and photography in the exhibit must remain until 10 a.m. on Monday, August 20th, 2012. Early removal will forfeit any cash prizes and/or ribbons.
- An artist may not enter in both an amateur and professional category. Disqualification will occur in both. A professional is one who earns any substantial part of their income from their art, has had professional training(including college courses), or experience, or has considered themselves a professional for any period of time.
- This year there are a large variety of categories. You are not limited to one particular category, and may enter up to five(5) times in each category. Entrants do not need to be a resident of Madison County.
All judging will be done Wednesday evening. No one will be allowed into the exhibit during judging other than the judges and superintendents. Ribbons will be placed after judging has taken place.
